  • Coursework is aligned to state and district standards;
  • Student work is performed on laptops provided by AU
  • AU's coordinator will work with the school counselor to ensure the homebound program complements student schedules
  • Student work is individualized and self-paced;
  • State certified teachers in all academic disciplines are available for real-time student support;
  • Tutoring is available in English/Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, Physical Education/Health, Life Skills, Vocational Training and most electives;
  • Tutoring builds test taking skills for State Standardized Tests.
  The program services students in need of homebound instruction: long term medical disabilities, pregnancy, expulsions, suspensions, excessive disciplinary problems, credit make-up, summer school programs and drop-out prevention.
 
AU’s homebound tutoring program combines the convenience of AU-supplied student laptops with the instructional rigor of state aligned curriculum.
